1998 Mercury Marquis V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

O/D Off light is flashing when hard shift from 2-3 and 3-4. Transmission appears to be performing fine except holds 2-3 and 3-4 shift points longer than normal.

The flashing light is the PCM's (Computer) way of telling you it sees a problem in the trans. You need to have the PCM scanned for trans codes to see what the problem is. May just be a bad sensor or solenoid, but it should have stored a code if the light is flashing
