When I cycle the key to ON, a device in the dash that I believe is related to a constant air recirculating system gos on and has in the last few days begun making a banging sound. Something going round and round inside a large black plastic housing hitting the side. A Right hand turn and the sound goes away but so does the A/C and is replaced buy massive heat. Aleft turn and the A/C works good but sound is more pronounced. Ive removed glove box, ashtray, and lower knee panel driverside to locate source of noise. Do I have to remove dash entirely to access this" heat/A/C box" to open it up and repair. Is there a procedure for the R&R. Thanks

If it has auto temp control try this and post the results:
Run the self diagnostic test on it by turning the key to on, then press off and floor at the same time, then within 2 secs, press auto, If there is a problem a trouble code will appear on the display. To exit self test, press the BLUE, cooler button this also retains error codes, To erase code and exit, press defrost, choose one of these before you power down the system. Test with engine at 120 degrees or more, and cabine between 40-90 degrees. Post any codes recorded here and I let you know what's defective.
