For some reason, when my engine is at idle I get a rattling noise. This is not noticeable when you are inside the car, but very noticeable when you are under the hood. It seems to be coming from the rear of the engine bay, and using a crude stethoscope (i.E. Broomstick) my father and I don't think it is a valve problem. The rattle does seem to go away when you rev the engine. Ideas?

Hmmm, hadn't considered that. What is the best way to check if that is it?
