1999 Mercury Cougar 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

put in new altnater replaced 75 amp copper fuse between alt and starter lights flicker when rpm over 1500 can hear voltage kicking in and out

this is caused by a recall issue. need to speak with your local Ford dealer and have the recall fixed. they will reroute and replace the charging systems wiring with the up-to-date correct wiring.

Was the fuse blown? What is the battery voltage at the terminals?
