2001 Mercedes Benz S600 pvc clogged

I have this car, excellent cond, very well cared for always, however running rough, not dying but shaking, when receiving gas runs fine. A engine light and the dealer said a pvc clogged, where is thatlocated? They said that it was not worth fixing due to the cost and trade in what are options? Is this over a 5000.00 repair? Is pvc in the motor? Advise of suggestions

Hi there, thank you for the donation,

Can you first give me the exact code that the ECU had as a fault, I will need this to fully check out what is going on, Although MB information is hard to get hold of as they don't like to see there work out side the dealerships, I may be able to find something out for you.
