Engine Performance problem
1987 Mercedes Benz 300dt 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 112000 miles

Just changed the fuel filters but it still has no good power. Not real familiar with these cars, going up a hill and when I put it to the floor it dont seem to move any faster. The engine revs put its like its standing still. Loses power going up hill. Slow take off. Is it the fuel injectors, this year had problems with the turbo I heard. HELP!

Lack of acceleration, chugging, hesitating, bogging etc. Could be caused by one of the following below.

Inspect and test all the following listed below and get back with some results

Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note: If it doesn't apply disregard.
