My 1986 B2000, headlight/turn signal will only turn off my headlights when left in the high beam mode (push forward toward the dashboard). Shoud I replace the entire switch or could something else be the problem? How hard is it to replace the switch if this is requried? Thanks for any help you can provide.

I had that problem with my 1993 B2600. The light switch is in two parts. I believe one is for the turn signal and the other for the headlights. I went to Autozone and they had the switch (the part needed) and that fixed the problem. I had it installed by a Mazda repair shop where I live and he said that Mazda recommends replacing the whole switch but just the part that was causing the problem was sufficient.

If you have a repair manual or enjoy taking apart the steering column, I don't think it was too hard to get to the switch, I just didn't have the time to do it.
