2005 Mazda MPV speedometer

while cruising along the car lunged/jerked a bit, and the speedometer/odometer stopped working. Later, the speedometer needle moves but without any reason or relation to how fast the car is going. (The rear power doors work only intermittently now.)

The speedometer working erracticaly is most probably due to a faulty speed sensor. This would also cause improper transmission shifting and driving is affected.

As to the rear power doors, they should be a separate problem and might be due to control unit or adjustments. This is quite a delicate job and I would suggest getting it done ONLY by someone who knows the system as any error during repairs might be costly.
