My car is running great. However, car was inherited from my deceased dad, and I don't think there has been a tune-up since 30,000 miles (now 62,000+). Car was in Texas and now in Denver, CO.

I think that I should at least change the spark plugs, but can't seem to loosen the plug wires and fear that I might damage them if too much force is applied. Also I think the plugs are deeply set in the engine, so I plan to use a rubber tube to re-install before using a plug wrench. Please advise on how to get the plug wires off w/o damage (is there a special tool for this?). Any other tune-up suggestions at this mileage would really be helpful.
Thanks, Dave in Denver

Hi there,

if the leads are stuck try holding by the boor seal & twist as you gently pull, if they are really stuck it might be wise ton just replace them. Don't forget the fuel & air filter as well
