Electrical problem
1997 Mazda 323 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 95000k miles

Suddenly my central locking will not work. Car was at panelbeaters to repair L fender and front passenger door. Working fine when I left it there, collected car now not working. They said not touched that area, took car to a auto electrician said? Pinched wire somewhere. They took the unlock relay switch out because it was hot and would burnout. I found the relay switch and put it back on and the doors then could be unlocked thru central locking but you still can't lock then automatically. Is there a locking relay and if so where is it?
Everybody feels that the are not responsible for the fact that my central locking doesn't work.

Hi the relay is located in the Front Left passenger footwell, next to the passenger door,
if you pull up the carpet, where it meets the plastic strip on the door pillar, you will find the conector,

The control unit is located on the opposit side next to the drivers door.

We had to disconect ours, as the doors unlock/relock on there own if left for more than 10 min, due to a wiring fault.

The work you had done was in the exact same area of the relay and wiring (I guess they did knacker it up) Hope you get it sorted.
