I have the truck listed above King Ranch with a zone system. No matter what the temperature is set to, it’s only hot air on the driver's side. I think this is a blend door actuator issue, but I hear no clicking. I understand there are 4 actuators on my truck, which actuator is responsible for the driver’s side temperature?

Yep, you are correct, it sounds like the driver's side blend door actuator is bad, they can go out without making a clicking noise. Here is the location which is down low on the HVAC plenum so you can swap it out which should fix the problem. You will need to remove the lower vent ducting.

Temperature Blend Door Actuator - Driver Side

Note: The heater box is shown upside down in the illustration for clarity purposes.

Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.

To clarify, is this the dreaded actuator that requires the dash to be pulled out (way over my technical ability), or can I replace this with less effort and 3/10 mechanics skills? Also, is FL3Z-19E616-B the correct part number? Lastly, is there a file or video that shows me step-by-step how to replace this part (If it’s the dash puller, I won’t need great instructions because I’m not doing that job).I sure hope this isn’t the 7-hour job (by someone who knows what they’re doing). $35 for the part and $1,000 for the labor is just nuts.

Yep, they get 6.3 hours to change it out so it does look like the dash will need to be removed.

Here is the part number I found:

Ford Part Number: DL3Z-19E616-A

Sorry about that. Since the actuator is not making noise, you might want to try to reset the system, please go over this guide to show you how.
