As of yesterday, the Check Engine light came on and listed the Following Codes
P0171 Bank 1 System 2 Lean
P0350 Ignition Coil Primary/Secondary Circuit
P0520 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor Circuit malfunction
P1350 ignition Bypass Circuit
It has been Very cold lately, 10 to 25 Deg, and it sits outside, and all these popped up yesterday, it seems to run ok, and is just down on Fuel mileage for the last couple of weeks. I was supposed to give it to the Girl friend (sat) to drive to FLA to see her mom for the holidays, but now I am hesitant that this might result in a bigger problem, an get her stuck 1200 Miles away. I have a backyard Mech. In Friday, so we can start to weed these out. Tools and time are limited. Should I just give her another Car?

Hi:

This is an interesting one because most of the codes are not related to each other. The lean condition could be a vacuum leak which explains the increased fuel consumption. What happens is the computer senses that it is running lean and tries to compensate by adding fuel to the mixture. What I would suggest at this point is this. If you have a scanner, delete the codes that are presently set and see which ones come back (if any). Like I mentioned, the codes are really not related to each other so I feel something may have gone haywire and set them.

Let me know.

As far as the car, I wouldn't suggest driving it that far until we get the problem fixed.
