There may be a click from under the hood when I turn the key. Maybe not. It may start right up, or it may take several tries with the key to get it to start. I have replaced the battery, starter and alternator. No change. It has been recommended that I replace the starter relay. Where is it?

Hi,

There isn't a starter relay on this vehicle. Power is provided to the ignition switch via fusible link B in the fusible link box. When the key reaches the start position, power is sent to the clutch safety switch. If the switch is closed, power travels to the starter trigger wire to engage the starter motor.

Based on your description, my first thought was a loose connection. Is everything tight? Also, the next thing would be the clutch pedal safety switch.

At the switch, there will be two black wires with a red tracer. One will receive power when the key reaches the start position. The other will not have power until the switch is closed by pressing the pedal. Check to see if that is what is happening,

I attached the wiring schematic below, so you have a reference.

Let me know what you find.

Joe

See pics below. Note: I had to cut the pic in half to make it readable. I did overlap them so you can follow from one to the next.
