1992 Lincoln Town Car V8 Two Wheel Drive 128000 miles

I recently installed a new battery. After turning car off and removing the key I hear a beep or sounding noise that is similar to one if you left you lights on or something of the same. This sound will continue for at least 5 to 6 times and then shut down. It will again sound after several minutes. Is there some reset button that I might be missing that would be related to the alarm system or something?

Try removing the negative cable for a minute or so, then replacing it. I don't know which cable you put on the battery last!
