2003 Other Lincoln Models engine light on

A picture of a engine came on at which time it was taken for diagnostic read out. They cleared the light and question if the engine had run rough at any time. I told them engine has always run smooth. That was 3 weeks ago and today the light came on again. What does this mean?

there are a number of reasons why this light can come on, you will need to go get a scan and make sure that they give you the code from the read out, this will be the indication I need to help pin point your problem, start here.
