Brake lights, taillight not working properly

Brake lights, taillights only come on when headlights are turned on. When they are off, the taillights and brake lights are also off. Brake lights and taillights both stay on when headlights are on even when not depressing brake pedal.

Hello my name is Dave.

Do your brake lights work when the headlights are off? I they do the most likely culprit are the taillight bulbs, sometimes the element brakes inside and touches the other one making them work together, an easy way to confirm if this is the problem is to see if the front turn signals come on when you hit the brakes with the lights off. If you can check into this and let us know the results we would be interested in finding out if that is the problem.

This is common when the lighting control goes out. Here is the blinker wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works and the location for the lighting module. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
