Engine Mechanical problem
1993 Lexus SC 400 V8 Two Wheel Drive 220000 miles

as I was driving, engine sudenly bogged down and would not excelerate. When idiling in park for 10 min. I could smell that something was hot or burning. Driverside and pasengerside cata. Converter slightly glowing orange. When I rev engine, rpms on tach would start to go up, and then would fall or jump around. Very rough idille, seemed like it was flooded or missing. What could this be?

Its running too rich

Unburned fuel finding its way to the exhaust system could mean oxygen sensor, CTS, leaky injectors and pressure regulator and clogged return line and a weak ignition system.
