Rear Strut Mounts

I have a 1993 Lexus Es 300 and a rattling noise coming from the rear. I thought it would be my rear strut mounts so I had them replaced so I thought. I do not know how to get to the rear strut mounts to check if they were actually replaced. Someone told me you had to remove the rear seat to get to them. I looked in my trunk and was unable to get to them. Please someone help because I feel that the mechanic has lied to me and just told me they were replaced.

If I remember right your car has fold down rear seats, if so you will have to remove the bottom rear seat, fold down the seats and remove the side parts of the seat, after that you should be able to see the top of the srtut.
