Do you mean the a/c heater control assembly?
Remove register from above radio, remove upper shift console panel, disconnect connectors necesary for removal. Remove 4 screws. Remove radio and heater control assembly together. Remove 2 screws to seperate the radio and controller, reverse procedure to install

Hi jack. Thanks for your answer to my query. My LS400 does not have apart between the air con panel and the radio. Also the shift console is in one piece.I take it that when you say register you mean a narrow strip my vehicle has not got one sorry to be a pain. Regards geoff

Without the car, all I can do is what my software says. The radio and controller mount to each other. The register is the vents. What is the exact production date fom inside the door sill on the sticker? Differnet year might have different instructions

Need the production date. Open drivers door, should be a White sticker on the inner door frame or on the door where the latch is.

Most of the time things like that just pop in and out. The clips can be a little tight and take some effort
