1995 Lexus ES 350 Engine shuts off when turning on headligh

Just like the subject. Car won't start in the morning (no crank/turnover). Jump the car. Car starts with no problem. Running smoothly.

Turn on the headlights, engine shuts off.

Repeatable.

I'm guessing a bad bulb or ground, but really don't even know the correct method to hunt down such a problem.

Suspect a faulty battery / check alternator

remove and replace the battery
check clean and tighten the terminals
start and check the charging system
with engine running

Alternator. Not charging battery well enough, and not enough power to run lights. Ther could be a few other reasons, but go to advanced and they will test the alternator for you. If it is not the alternator then we can go from there.

Did you post comment twice? Advanced will lso check battery, so will auto zone and others. And all for free might I add
