I am interested in buying a 1998 lexus es 300, I wanted to know if the parts are the same as for a toyota and if not could I take it to a regular mechanic or would it have to be a lexus dealersip?

YES some of the dianostics r the same the computer can read toy an lex

So yes I can use toyota parts which are cheaper then lexus parts? And could I take the 1998 lexus to a regular mechanic?
