Electrical problem
2000 Land Rover Discovery 2 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I don't have the original manual for my 2000 DISCOVERY II, And I don't have the Emergency Key Access" or EKA".

If I bought the truck on the street not from land rover dealer would I be able to contact dealer to get the code?

Also would disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it with the key in position 2 work without having the code?

I live in the USA, America
Thanks

Hello .. thanks for the donation .. much appreciated

The EKA will only work via the drivers door lock using the access code ... you will be able to get the code from a dealer using the VIN number or they can supply a default number !!

Emergency Key Access (EKA) allows anti-theft system to be disarmed and engine to be mobilized when a remote transmitter handset malfunctions. EKA requires that a 4-digit code be entered using the key and the driver's door lock. The 4-digit code is either a number assigned to the vehicle, and found on the security information card, or a default number obtainable from the manufacturer. With vehicle locked, alarm system armed, and key inserted in driver's door lock cylinder, turn key as specified (key must be fully turned to rest and lock/unlock position each time)

hope this helps
