Hello everyone. Does anybody know a procedure to replace the knock sensor without removing the cylinder head? I notice on the 3.5L engine you do not need to remove the head but on the 2.6L it appears that you do.

I assume you mean the 2.7L? Unfortunately this is one that there isn't a short cut for. You need to remove it because it is under the intake and the head prevents you from getting to it to unscrew it. May techs have complained of this engine over the years. It is part of the reason it is no longer used, the other is it is under powered and not as good fuel mileage as the World Engine which was the replacement.
