1999 Kia Sportage Power Window

My rear power window will go down, but will not go back up. I have tired both power buttons - the driver's side and the rear door - both will put the window down but not up. What could this be and how can I fix it? I have tried to manually pull it back up - but that won't work either. Thanks!

The power to the switch comes from the master switch on the drivers door. It is fairly common for the switch to fail. If you really like to mess with switches, it can be removed and the contacts can be cleaned and it should work. If you have a power probe, you can access the wiring from the drivers switch and then you can manually power the window up or down. If it moves normally then, the problem is in the switch most likely. Good luck
