I have a 2002 sedona, the owner states that at all times when he goes to fill up - it takes him 15 min to fill. Nothing is splashing back out, but it does seem to keep cutting out the over-fill on the pumps. He has tried changing angles with no effect. I have heard of this in other models, but I want to know if anyone has een it in a sedona and what if any was the remedy.

This occurs on my vehicle (2000 cougar) sometimes as well. I usually pull the end of the nozzle out about halfway and it works fine. Just be sure to put it all the way back in when you are near full or else the shut-off will not engage and you will have fuel everywhere. It is probably because of the angle that the filler neck itself is shaped, not how you are holding the pump nozzle. Also, some vehicles have a smaller inner tube that is within the filler tube itself. This can break down and cause problems with filling with fuel, but in these cases the fuel usually overflows even when it is near empty.

Well we have tried all that and it did not do that when the vehicle was first purchased - it had 63K on it then. We are going to try and check the fill neck check valve this weekend - to see if it is stuck or clogged up.
