2001 Kia Rio Speed Sensor

2001 Kia Rio 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My check engine light have been on and when I check it it reads speed sensor.I have replace the speed sensor on the transmission and the light came back on even after I unhooked the battier.I wanted to know if there was anyway of checking a speed sensor to make sure its good and if there was more then one speed sensor. The car does not have ABS brakes. Please someone HELP

Voltage inspection

1.Turn ignition to ON and use a voltmeter to back probe pin 1.

2.Have an assistant rotate one drive wheel, checking other drive wheel, if necessary. This will rotate vehicle speed sensor.
3.Voltmeter reading should alternate between approximately 1 and 10 volts.
4.If this requirement is not met, replace vehicle speed sensor.
