I have the vehicle listed above limited model. Can turn key over no crank at engine or starter. So I ran a wire from starter to the positive terminal on battery with key on I place the wire to the terminal fired right up. This is the ignition correct. Also my radio has power. Green light clock flashes but when you hit power button nothing put a CD in it shoots it back out. Any ideas would be highly appreciated as this is my first Subaru.

Let's focus on your starting issue. I know you asked the question about the radio in a separate thread, so we'll answer that one over there.

The starting system on this vehicle is actually quite basic. I've attached a wiring diagram of the complete system. Many times a no-crank condition can be the result of a failed Park/Neutral safety switch. Have you by chance tried moving the shifter or attempted to start it with the shifter in Neutral?

No haven't tried that yet. I ran a diagnostic test on it today said knock detection sensor on bank 1 has failed. PCM failed an a ground on a the ignition switch. Which I'm guessing probably from the starter.

The knock sensor code would not have any affect on your starting condition. Can you clarify your statement regarding the PCM and a ground?
