Just replaced turbo and engine seems be really hot after driving

Hi, I just replaced the turbo in my car. It runs fine but it seems to be really hot after you drive it. I let it sit for about 45 minutes after driving and the engine still felt pretty warm. What could be causing this? I’m pretty sure I have no lines leaking, the car isn’t overheating. I’m just trying to be extra safe so I don’t have to replace anything else.

Good morning,

The turbo will develop a lot of heat as it is part of the exhaust system.

When it spools, it spins at over 10,000 RPM's and that will develop a lot of heat. It is normal for that heat to remain around the engine area until it cools off.

As long as you have no leaks of any fluids from it and it runs good, you are good to go.
