2002 Jeep Liberty lil engine light on

Everytime I get to between 3/4 to half tank of gas the lil engine light comes on until I fill tank back up then goes off.

What I need you to do is take the vehicle to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. Most will do it for free. Let me know what you find. Something tells me there is an EVAP code stored in the computer.
