Hi, I recently had my a/c compressor go bad in my Jeep. I had a new one along with a new drier put in as well as a system recharge. However it doesn't get anywhere near as cold as it did before the repair. I have the fan blowing on high speed and never get cold now. Before the fix, I would have to turn the fan down after about 5 minutes as it was too cold. I took it back to the shop and they said it had the required amount of freon in it and if they put any more in that it would cause the new compressors "O" rings to go bad and then the compressor would go bad. They suggested that may have been my problem before when I had it serviced in 2006 which caused my compressor to go bad. However I have had the Jeep since it was brand new off the lot and the A/C had always worked the same till now. Should I take it to another shop for an opinion on why its not blowing colder air, or just suck it up. I spent $950 on this fix with a 1yr warranty. I live in the south and have two small children so I definitly need the A/C to be cold. Thank you.

Hi I recently did the same thing except I did the work myself. The system actually has to be vacuumed and then recharged. I would take it back where I had the work done and have them fix the problem.
