Transmission problem
1999 Jeep Laredo 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I had a hard time getting the transmission cooling lines out of my 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, and lying on my back can't get the new ones even started. Is there a special way to put them in?
Thank you,
Ralph

It depends on where you are trying to insert them. If you are trying to insert them into the radiator side, you may need a special adapter to put one of them in the bottom(new radiator usually supplies these though). If you are trying to put them into your transmission, you need to make sure that the threads are free of debris so as not to ruin the threads. They should go in without a struggle. Make sure that you are aligning them straight with the hole. Check to make sure you have the right year lines and the correct size ends by matching them up with the old ones. Also check the old ends to ensure that the threads on those are not ruined as that may be a sign of damage on the transmission side too.
