I have a 2002 Grand Cherokee Overland and I am having issues with intermittent starting. Seems like the hotter it is outside or if I make multiple trips it will not start. When I turn the key nothing happens. All the electrical works, it just won't turn over. The car needs to sit for a while (sometimes hours) before it will start again. I have had it in the shop on several occasions. They told me it was the starter so they replaced it and 1400.00 dollars later it happened again. So they said I might have a faulty starter, so they replaced it. They have kept the car for several weeks to try and get it to happen when they have a mechanic drive it but they cannot get it to duplicate the issue. It is happening again and I am not sure what to do at this point. Have you heard of this issue before in Jeeps? If so, what can be done and what is the issue. Because my local Dodge dealer can't seem to figure it out! I love my jeep and don't want to give it up.

Hi eyesoftrth, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

They can be only 4 components in t he starting circuit that could be acting up to do this are as follow the ignition switch, starter relay, park and neutral position switch and starter itself get them to check it all to include the ground side. See below starting system EWD.
