2001 Jeep Cherokee Oil Pressure

A local mechanic installed a rebuilt engine w/ 70000 miles. The oil pressure gauge shows 50 PSI when cranked & does not vary during idle or acceleration.

Did he replace the oil sending unit?

I'll find out. I don't think so. Is little to no flux a bad thing if it hold 50 psi?
