Hi, if your saying, the starter cranks good, but, the vehicle won't start, Have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the plugs. If you have spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure.

To check for spark, you can pull a plug wire, stick known good plug or spark tester in the boot, ground metal part of plug/tester to metal part of engine. Watch for spark, engine cranking.

Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage, if you don't have one. You can call them and ask?

What was the fuel pressure spec? The fact that you may have some fuel pressure, isn't good enough. If it is backfiring, it could be a timing issue. I'd want to see, first, if the cam and crank signals are in sync. I'd have to use a scanner that will show a sync signal. Even to check for trouble codes, at the least, You need an obd2 code reader or a scanner that will show live engine data.

Just a thought, if you hold the throttle valve open just a little, will it start?
