Electrical problem
2000 Jeep Cherokee V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic

Alarm goes off randomly and for no reason. Computer checked and shows no failure. May be a sensor. How do I repair it? How do I disable the alarm?

Hi alex. You won, t be able to disable the alarm.
Unless you can get your hands on a factory schematic. And even then very hard to do.I wish I could help more but maybe one of the jeep guys here will add something billymac

I have a 94 cherokee, with the same problem. Most of the time when useing the tailgate alarm would go off. The tailgate latch was very loose. I tightened it down, END OF PROBLEM. Hope this helps you.
