Noises problem
1999 Jeep Cherokee 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

WHEN MY VEHICLE HITS 50 MPH, THERE IS A LOUD NOISE IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. IT SOUNDS LIKE THE CAR GOES INTO EXCESSIVE OVERDRIVE, BUT THE RMP'S ARE NORMAL, AND IT SWITCHES INTO GEAR FINE. I REPLACES THE REAR SEAL ON THE DRIVE SHAFT. I STILL HAVE TO REPLACE THE TWO BACK TIRES. BUT I DON'T THINK THAT WOULD CAUSE THE NOISE.

So basically it starts to whine loudly when you hit that speed? I would have the rear end inspected for bad carrier or pinion bearings. Ususally rear end noises will start around that speed, not always but alot of the time. Also check like you said for odd wear on therear tires, buthtey will usually start getting loud before that speed, check u-joints as well.
