1999 Jeep Cherokee location of oil pressure sender

My oil gauge light is on and I cannot locate the oil pressure sender; the pressure gauge reads below 10 psi. Can you give me directions on locating oil pressure sender. I have a repair manual, but it doesn't give information on location or picture of unit.

Hello

Your vehicle is equipped with an engine oil pressure sensor.

For the 2.5L engine it is on the engine block, near the alternator.

For the 4.0L engine it is on the right side of the engine, near the oil filter.
