137,000 miles, 4.0 liter. Car won't start, will jump start and will stay running only he foot on the gas.
Is it the battery or the alternator?

Try putting a vlotmeter on the battery, 12v? Now crank engine 10v? Is alt or charge light on? Also clean and inspect the cables, then put red end of voltmeter on the neg terminal at battery, black end on calbe end on block, crank engine, should only get 1/2 volt drop in voltage or cable is No good!
