Can you help? I am in New Zealand. Any suggestions? 1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4L petrol Vin: 1J4FJB8S6VL555690(Face Lift) RH Drive. The remote is not communicating with the transceiver which in turn telling the vehicle not to run. (Factory Security) The transceiver and remote has given up. Cannot buy parts. The Jeep starts then 3 seconds stops. This has the receiver in the over head console (RF Transistor Type) (Security light on dash)

Is there a way to bypass the factory security? In a predicament and at a loose end! Thanks Fraze

Sorry I find no way to bypass the system. It looks like the overhead module controls the system. If you cant find anything there I can try to help from here in the states. I would check salvage yards.

Hi thank you for that which I already know. I have spent the last 3 weeks all salvage yards in New Zealand, Australia, and some places in the states, like ECU reprogramming places, however I get no sence from them I have even called. They want me to send money and then awnser my questions. I know what the problem is I just need the parts. Can you help or advise where to go?
Thanks Fraze

So I take it there is nothing where your at. I have some salvage yards near me that might be able to help. Once I find it I will tell you where and what they want and I will figure out shipping and we will see if can get you one. I am sorry that I see no way to disable it. Have you tryed to remove fuse 16 and or 26 as these are the fuses for the overhead module. The battery's in the fob are good right?

Yes they do so I can help you with finding that if you like. Just let me know. Near me there is a Jeep salvage yard and another very large salvage yard one should have it. Let me know what you would like me to do. Thanks.
