1996 Jeep Cherokee fan stops sometimes for a second or two

Fan stops for a second or two, randomly, then starts right back. This is srarting to happen a lot more frequently. What do you think this could be.

Honestly, it sounds like a loose connection. Check the fan plug and the resister under the dash. Make sure the connections are clean and tight.
