The blower motor continues to run slowly even after the ignition is switched off. This problem drains the battery so I have removed the blower motor fuse.

Does anyone know the cause of the problem and the fix.

Thanks

Sounds like the resistor is shorted out. Should be mounted in the HVAC plenum near the blower motor, follow the blower wires back to the resistor and unplug it to see if the motor shuts off

Myself and a dude I know both had the same problem. His was easily fixed by replacing the Blower Motor Resistor Module located underneath the Passenger Side Dash.

I replaced mine but the motor still stayed on, my mechanic then found a corrosion short which was keep the motor on, the replaced some wiring and the issue was fixed.
