What cause an engine to overheat without the engine light coming on, and is it possible that it can affect your heating for your air conditioning.

Are you sure nothing is frozen in the radiator? Next, you could have a bad temp sending unit. That could prevent the light from coming on. Finally, heat is created by the coolant. If it isn't circulating, you will not have heat.

Let me know and I'll do my best to help you.
