My 1993 Jeep Cherokee is stumbling during acceleration if it does not cut off when I put it in drive. It runs fine in park, reverse, neutral, and sometimes drive but mostly will cut off when I put it in drive. If it runs when I put it in drive, It stumbles during acceleration and when I come to a stop it will cut off. But I have been able to put it in neutral to keep it running. I have changed the fuel filter, fuel pump, injectors, coil, plugs, wires, TPS, and camshaft timer sensor. I am leaning towards the torque converter but am unsure if it causes problems only in drive.

Check the crankshaft position sensor harness. Some times the shifter cable rubs through the insulation and damages the wires and the PCM dose not get the correct information that it needs to run the car. Also check your injector sync signal, you will need a scan tool for this.
