2000 S-Type, 37,890. I had my car scanned at my friendly neighborhood autozone and the scanner came up with a PO133 code. Autozone checked it and said this was an 02 sensor circuit slow response (bank 1 / sensor 1). Can anyone tell me if this is an expensive part? Can I do it myself? And where is it located? Thanks.

The closest sensor to the engine is sensor 1.

Has OEM parts at great prices

Sorry about the late response but I am new to this forum. On V8 engines there are a total of 4 oxygen sensors. Bank 1 position 1 is the passenger side of the engine with the oxygen sensor closest to the front of the vehicle. If you stand in front of your vehicle, Bank 1 is to your left (passenger side) and Bank 2 is to your right (driver's side). Autozone and Murray's Discount auto sells good quality Bosch oxygen sensors for about $45 each. However be weary about the codes that the OBD II computers register as these are just basic generic codes and may not pinpoint the specific problem.

If the o2 sensor was slow to respond it could also have a catalyst failure which is the catalitic converter. That is covered under 8 years or 80 thousand mile emmison waarranty
