Running hot

I have a 1998 jaguar xjr that is running hot only when driven not at idel. I have changed the thermostat, someone had put a 170 and drilled three holes in it for what I dont know, but I put the correct one in and it still ran hot so I checked the water pump (ok) im not sure were to turn from here(please help)

Got the answer I pulled the heads, blown head gasket. Not to happy but atlest I no what the problem is.
