The windshield wipers rarely go back to the correct spot when they stop. They will just stop in the middle anywhere on the windshield. In automatic they will stop when it is pooring down rain and again stop anywhere on the windshield. If take off automatic they will keep going but when turn them off they will stop anywhere. This is just a nuisance.

Hi harden90,

Thank you for the donation.

The parking feature for the wipers are controlled by the Front Electronic Module ( behind left front kick panel). You would have to check/test if the module is faulty or a bad ground circuit connection.

Since vehicle is rather new, it should be under warranty, did you check with the dealer?

The car is not under warranty due to 68Kmiles. I took to a shop in town and they said the parking feature was in the motor and I would need to change the full wiper motor. Parts and Labor at $920. You stated its in the Front Electronic Module. What is part number for that and is it very expensive

Our database doers not have the Front Control Module ( Body Control Module ) partno or cost so you would have to check with the dealer. It should be more than $700 with a labor time of 1.1 hours.

The wiper motor has parking features but the control is via the BCM. As I mentioned, you need to test if the BCM is the cause. It could be the wiper motor as well.
