Rear window motor works, cable broke, replaced the whole unit, and same sounds with replacement part ( purchased used off ebay, tried it with batt power and seemed fine on pre-install, glass now stuck in the middle ( hear crackling sounds ), convertabletop works fine, other side is fine as well, it is the driver side with the issues,

Please advise anyone! Any easyier way to get at it?

Cheers and regards

Possibly something in the window track is causing it to bind and breaking the regulators? Did you move the glass up and down before installation to be sure it moves freely?

Window seemed to move fine, can those regulators be rewired ( cabled ) replaced, motors are pretty tough, bad design as they have no springs to maintain tension when they stretch over time, pretty easy fix if the manufacturer paid attention in the first place. Cable stretches and comes off the runner wheel, anyways what next?

Cheers

I havent come across anyone who recables them. May want to look at a new one at Jaguar to see if maybe they updated the part due to this problem. Sometimes that goes on and you never know it unless you compare the two
