I recently aquired a 1990 Jaguar XJ6 but it has a cicuit failure and check engine light on. The on-board computer told me fail37, fuel37. In the Jaguar manual that meant the EGR is the problem, what should I do now?

While I have no Jag Experience. I can offer this: Egr valves on domestics can be removed and cleaned of the carbon. The egr passageways can also be ceaned out with intake cleaner, small brushes, pipe cleaners or other tools depending on the build up.
