1997 Jaguar XJ6 poor power/missing/fouling out/puttering

I have a miss in my engine, like a plugs miss. I heard it could be a coil as well. It happened intermittenly and they became permanent 1 day ago.

What are your suggestions?

Check your plugs, (how many miles on them)wires, inside of dist cap for carbon tracks and rotor.
Sounds like tune up time. It could be coil or amplifier but, check the simple things first.
