Electrical problem
1995 Jaguar XJ6 6 cyl Automatic 63,000 miles

First, the fuel gauge bounced around. Now even though we filled the car, it reads empty. Next the check engine light came on even though we kept driving and everything seems absolutely fine. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the sending unit in the fuel tank.
If you probe the wires for the unit at the tank with a test light, the gauge should go to full.
Check engine light. Scan the codes and see what comes up. We can go from there.
